I installed & attempted to upgrade cCleaner Pro on my Galaxy Tab A8, model SM-X200, running Android 14. The installation went smoothly, but when I attempted twice to pay/upgrade to the full ad-free version, I got a "no-go"prompt after payment showed “Successful”. How do I upgrade ?, and will I be charged twice for an app I never got ?

Where you trying to use an existing CCleaner Pro-Plus / Premiun licence key to activate CCleaner Android as Pro?
Or were you paying for activation through the Google Play Store?
If you were paying through the Google Play Store then that is Google that you are getting the activation from*, and Google that you are paying for it.
So if something has gone wrong then it’s Google that you need to talk to because Piriform/CCleaner have no record of individual transactions done in the Play Store.
It sounds like there was a problem at the Play Store end.
*When you purchase CCleaner Pro through the Play Store you do not get a licence key, instead your CCleaner is active as Pro whenever you are signed into your Google account.
