Hello,
I have 3 browsers: IE, Firefox and Opera.
For all three browsers, delete cookies is selected.
CCleaner > Options > Cookies, I see two cookies (cookies to delete): bitdefender.eptimum.com and switch.eptimum.com.
I run cleaner and...the two cookies are still there.
How can I delete these cookies
When in the cookies to delete list if you click once on one of those cookies to highlight it and then look right to the bottom of the column is there an icon shown for the cookie?

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I see Opera's logo.
But in Opera I cannot see these cookies.
I have to ask this.. under Applications in ccleaner is the cookies box ticked under Opera?
In ccleaner Options - Advanced is the checkbox for 'only delete files in temp older than 24 hours' ticked?
If so if you untick, close ccleaner, open it again and run it, do they go then?

Yes, but these cookies are there for more than 24 hours.

Yes.

I found the solution .
Normally, for Opera, cookies are stored in cookies4.dat.
If I delete this file, CCleaner still shows the two cookies.
So I did a search in the Opera profile to find files containing eptimum.com.
This file is psindex.dat.
I rename this file psindex_old.dat and ....the cookies have disappeared from CCleaner.
Conclusion: CCleaner also look in this file (psindex).
I do not know the usefulness of this file.
Thank you for posting back with your findings. You never know, your info on this may help another user.
Perhaps you could have included the file in custom cleaning?
Have a great weekend

Perhaps you could have included the file in custom cleaning?
Options > Include and Exclude are empty.
This detection (2 cookies in psindex.dat) is still a mystery. Could this be a bug in CCleaner?
Have a good weekend also
Sorry, I worded that sentence badly.
The options -include was made as a suggestion for the future deletions of this when running ccleaner. In other words add it to the include list.

No, sorry, it is me, I misunderstood

Yes, but I should know what is this file (psindex.dat).
I asked the question on the forum (in French) of Opera: http://www.opera-fr.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=6758
I await the answer.
If I have an answer, I'll post the information here.

After my tests, I believe that the file psindex.dat is linked to an extension of Opera: External Scripts or NoAds.
