How to stop force update to CCleaner 7?

I followed a tutorial from this forum by nukecad on how to rollback from CCleaner 7 to v6.39 as v7 can’t do simple custom scans without telling me they failed and to read a CCleaner article for more details. However, 2 days later, I’m being forced to upgrade to CCleaner 7 despite completely uninstalling it and reinstalling 6.39.

What’s the point in rolling back if you’re forced to upgrade 2 days later??

Did you not turn off the Automatic Updating in v6.39?

The roll-back article tells you clearly to turn it off. (And how to turn it off).
