How to stop ccleaner sorting the IE Favorites Bar

Good morning all,

Seems that all the stuff on my IE Favorites Bar is re-sorted each time I run ccleaner. Is there a way around this annoying behavior ?

I have put the following subfolder in the exclude list

C:\Users\XXXXXX\Favorites\*.*

C:\Users\XXXXXX\Favorites\Links\*.*

But it had no effect on the issue

Just a little bump.

All help how to prevent the favorites being rearranged is very welcome.

No need to bump posts, if anyone knows they'll post an answer.

give your CC, IE and Windows versions.

I just setup IE with 3, unsorted favorites on the favorites bar, ran CC and they remained as I left them.

So sadly I can't repeat the your problem.

I have CC v2.14.4657, IE 11, Win8.1

Windows 7: 6.1 Build 7601 SP 1

Internet Explorer 11: 11.0.9600.16531 update 11.0.4

Ccleaner 4: 4.12.4657

I wonder (but don't know off hand) if that Internet Explorer option for the sorting, etc., could be tied to Explorer settings instead via Folder Options. Maybe tinkering in Folder Options will find a solution.

I know this is an old thread but all you have to do is uncheck 'MENU ORDER CACHE' in the Advanced section.
