Hello !

I bought a router TP-link and want to know the best security options to use.

for :

AUTHENTICATION TYPE : (4 options)

1-WEP

2-WPA

3-WPA2-PSK

4-WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK

which one is the best?

& 3 options for Encryption:

1-TKIP/AES

2-TKIP

3-AES

which one is the best?

Use WPA2-PSK & AES if your devices support it, otherwise WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK & TKIP/AES.

the device supports both : (1) WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK + TKIP/AES. and (2) WPA2-PSK + AES

so (2) is the better than (1) for more security or they are all the same?

I meant the devices you connect to the network.

(2) would only use WPA2/AES which is better but is not supported so widely.

Usually anything but WEP is enough.
