So I did reset my laptop to its original factory settings which does a quick reinstall of windows and all its original software. I backed up everything EXCEPT my itunes photos. Big mistake on my part.
I have downloaded Recova but I cant figure out how to use it properly so that I can find these particular files. Remember that I wiped it so now it is probably considered "deleted" file or something.
I know the files/photos still exists because I found other files that I deleted. So... I guess if I knew the name of the extensions or something.
In Recuva, switch to Advanced Mode, if you haven't already. Open Options/Actions and check Scan for Non-Deleted Files, then scan.
You can sort the resultant list by name, date etc or by entering a file extension in the Filename or Path box, e.g. .jpg for pictures, or just select Pictures from the drop down list. I don't know the file extension for ITunes, but there are several billions of Googlers who do.
If this doesn't find your files then you cold check the Deep Scan option as well. This will take longer and has limitations regarding file recovery.
