I downloaded Defraggler and got a popup:
You have chosen to open
(icon) dfsetup120.exe
Which is a: Binary File
from: http://download.piriform.com
Would you like to save this file?
I chose to save the file but, am unable to locate it on my computer (Windows XP) using the search function. I cannot find or open Defraggler.
Go to this site
http://www.piriform.com/defraggler/builds
Choose the slim build (if you don't want the yahoo toolbar)
It should ask you where you want to save it. Say your desktop using the dropdown arrow then you should be able to find it.

Where you find the executable after downloading it can depend very much on what web browser you used.
If it's Internet Explorer then Hazelnut's instructions should apply
If it's Mozilla Firefox then press Ctrl + J and double click over "dfsetup120.exe" to run the installer.

Richard just for info, I was using Opera.
I know very little about computers. Not sure what info I need(ed) to include with my Q. I have Windows XP SP3, with Mozilla Firefox.
hazelnut, I did as you instructed but, the only options I get are: 'Save File' and 'Cancel'. I get no indication where it is saved to.
redhawk, I also tried as you instructed but, all I get is a blank 'Download' page.
Please disregard today's previous post. I Ran the 'Slim' download from IE and everything seems to be working fine. Thank you both for your help, I'm very grateful.
