I think that the program needs a way to delete the files forever. As Norton System Works allows you to do. I was not sure where in the program it allowed you to remove files from your hard drive that hogs up drive space. I understand that the program is to recover files but it should do the whole 9 yards and delete the files you don't want anymore.
The program otherwise seems to very accurate at what it does. Thank you for your fine products.

I think you may just be missing how windows file deletion works.
When you delete a file on windows it doesn't just magically disappear. What happens is windows tells itself that the space is free and can be overwritten. So even though the files are still there they aren't really taking up space. So by using recuva your not really saving HD space.
Now if you want to make your files unrecoverable thats understandable and should eventually become part of recuva.
Yes that is what i meant is making the files unrecoverable. To me it is just simply clutter on the hard drive. Even though it seems to not take space it obviously does. It is still there and it is taking up space. I do understand how the three lives of files work on windows. Maybe i don't have very firm understanding of it but i do understand it pretty well.

In the future hopefully recuva will be able to do this, but even when it does you won't gain disk space by using it.
The files are still on the hard drive until windows overwrites them with something else.
