How To Completely Uninstall Defraggler 2.14

I 'did' have a legitimate version of Defraggler-I just did not know who Piriform was or what Defraggler was for so you can understand my confusion when I read the article on ~snipped~ (check it out) related to Defraggler version 2.14.706, which lead me to believe that Pirisoft Defraggler was, in fact, malware fake anti-virus software.

Did you check out the link that I sent?

The link to xxx is bunk, I DO NOT ADVISE ANYONE ELSE GO THERE. It has no rating on the major site checker sites and has ALL THE LOOKS OF A MALWARE DISTRIBUTION SITE. on a moderation note, please stop linking to it, once is enough

I 'did' have a legitimate version of Defraggler
How do you come by this conclusion, from what I read in this thread, it is still up in the air as to the legitimacy. How did you find the xxx site? It doesn't seem a likely candidate for being a top hit on any renown search engine.

@Blueman,

Going to the link or not serves no purpose for me. (let's be honest here, for all anyone knows this could be your site and it's infected with drive-by malware - just playing Devils' Advocate here - no malice intended)

I know Piriform is safe and I know Defraggler is safe.

As to what program who have, where it came from (since you have no memory of installing it yourself) and what a potentially suspicious site says, I cannot even begin to guess.

Since you have no intention of using it, just delete it and move on.

For further reading, Google 'pirirform' or 'defraggler' to get background info.

But beware, searching on any popular software will always yield both good and bad results. Due the the popularity of the software (Defraggler for example), if I was a creator of malware and wanted to spread my wares, I would do whatever was needed to get people to come to 'my site' instead of Piriform. So treat pcsgo.com as such until you can verify what the site contains is not just one persons, incorrect (perhaps innocently) belief. Do what any good journalist would do, independently verify your source.

The download button at pcsgo takes you to an Enigmasoftware download of a tool (SpyHunter) which asks you to buy after you have run the scan and 'malware' is found.

Here is a link to 7 pages of people trying to uninstall SpyHunter

In my option poster is trying to get people to visit the site he links to so often (and tells people 'check it out')).

DO NOT GO THERE OR DOWNLOAD ANYTHING FROM THERE..

Yes, half a dozen links - especially with (check it out) - is overegging the pudding a little. When I have a few mins I'll knock these links off, they serve no useful purpose.
