How to completely block forced updates to version 7 or higher?

Hi,
I’m currently using an older version of CCleaner (6.39) and have automatic updates turned off in the settings. However, I saw a note saying that versions older than one year may still auto-update to the latest release — even if updates are disabled.

I do not want to upgrade to version 7 or any newer version, as I strongly prefer the older interface and functionality. Is there any way to fully block CCleaner from updating itself?

Any workaround would be helpful.
Thanks in advance!

Only use it when offline - if it isn’t online then it can’t check for updates.

What about disable CCUpdate task and also block CCleaner executable with CCUpdate in firewall?

Half hearted measures, and you did say FULLY.
