Not only interface, whole program needs to be rolled back to previous version. It not work at all. Cleaning shows errors and browser are not cleaned at all. I can no longer see startup applications, scheduled task, services…
IT WORKED!!! Old CCleaner back up and running. Only had to update Firefox. Just going to see how long I can ignore “Update Available?” They say up to a year before they force one on you?
This version is broken — don’t install it. After I ran a regular clean, my wallpapers turned black. I’m sticking with the old version and will never update to 7.xx. This software will never be as good as it used to be, so I’ll use the old version for a while, then stop using it completely. It’s bloated with unnecessary, often dangerous features and adware I have no interest in. Avast company has just killed another good piece of software.
The new interface is truly awful, much agreed. It’s as though there is no longer a presumed competency in the user who downloads from CCleaner, and that is massively disappointing to me.
If there was some sort of an “advanced version” (which really isn’t ‘advanced’ at all considering so many people have been using this program for so many years…) or a normal, standard version that was highly similar to the previous builds with classic functions, that would likely be workable.
