can't be done, has to be a manual process, my theory is, that way, if things go pear-shaped, there is only one person to blame. ;)

In Duplicate Finder, Exclude your Desktop location from being searched

@Philip56901,

can you explain why?

that's where some of the OP's dups are located and how does that answer his question?<img alt=":)" data-emoticon="" height="20" src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/default_smile.png" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" title=":)" width="20"></p>

although I don't know why C:\ and F:\ are being compared, looks like F:\ could be external and maybe a backup location. but who knows.

@mta

Sorry, let me change my instructions, I had them wrong.

When he runs the duplicate finder, he should right click on a file that he wants to remove from that specific location; it will bring up an option to select the duplicates on the same file path.

He can then select the file patch closest to selecting all of the ones he wants and voila, satisfaction.

ok, cool, that may help, but it still scares the crap out of me, auto selecting like that and 'trusting' a utility that is about to wizz through and delete files.

but each to his own. :)

any update for us @iSun?
