How do you overwrite a picture found with deep scan from delete box?

How do you overwrite a picture found with deep scan from delete box?

I pull up the deep scan pics and it let you restore them but not clean them off your disk

Are you talking about ccleaner or recuva (sounds like recuva to me)

You right click the offending file and select Overwrite Highlighted. A deep scan runs a normal scan first, so if you are selecting a file with a file name displayed, subsequent scans will still show this name (Recuva cannot amend system files). However the file data will have been overwritten with zeroes. With a file found by deep scan (no file name, just a number) the file will also have been overwritten and will not be shown again in a subsequent scan.

Moved to Recuva board

But if I want to pull up pictures from way down deep and want to use the Guzman 35 passes to get it to work.

I have it set to that but never know if it actually find things on the screen.

How do I know it is actually working.

Instructions are not very complete that I can find for setting items up in options.

So if you do the extra deep clean checked in advance Options section. (I checked them all)

It took a long time but pulled up a group of pictures from somewhere. Some were deleted a long time ago and you could check them and pull down the box and it has a place to recover and check but the write over is greyed out. Possibly by the next time I run recurva the Guzman 35 passes have been taking place in the background. The next time I run the same deep scan they are gone.

If you checked all the boxes in Actions/Options then you wil see non-deleted files as well as deleted. If you try to overwrite a non-deleted file the action will be greyed out. Recuva doesn't work in the background. You don't have an SSD do you?
