How do I turn off the drive cleaned notice?

I’ve been a faithful fan of CCleaner for Windows for many years. Recently, I am bombarded with a pop up that says my hard drive has been cleaned. How, specifically, do turn this intrusive “feature” off?

I am saddened by the obvious efforts CCleaner has taken to ensure customers–the people who pay their bills and employees–can never, ever reach them to ask a specific question.

I know it’s a cost. But if CCleaner doesn’t care about its customers, it damages their brand.

Try the following:

Go to Options: In the left sidebar, click on “Options.”

Select Notifications: Look for a section labeled “Notifications” or “Settings” (the exact wording may vary depending on the version).

Disable Notifications: You should see an option to disable notifications or pop-ups. Uncheck any boxes related to notifications about cleaning or similar alerts.

Save Changes: Make sure to save any changes you make.

That is a setting in Smart Cleaning for the junk file cleaning.

If it is popping up frequently then you might want to set a higher GB limit before it cleans and it won’t automatically clean as often.

If you don’t want any notification at all when Smart Cleaner runs a junk clean then you can turn that notification off quite easily:

PS. There are similar notification options/settings for the automatic browser cleaning too:
