How do I restore old registry values? They are saved to a log file, but how to I restore them to be functional?

If you mean CCleaner backups, they should have been saved as a .reg file, e.g., cc_20070913_2108.reg

Just double-click the file and it should give you a message "Are you sure you want to add ... to the registry?" Click Yes.

Alternatively you can right click and choose the merge option.
