You can transfer your key to a new machine quite easily.
On the new machine download CCleaner Free from here: CCleaner - Download Builds
Double click the downloaded installer to install CCleaner Free, and then activate it to Pro by entering your existing licence key in Options > Licence Key.
You can see your existing key in the Options > Licence Key in your current CCleaner Pro on your old machine.
Once you have activated CCleaner Pro on the new machine then, unless you have a multi-device licence, you should uninstall CCleaner Pro from the old machine.
Thank you very much for your help. Everything is clear ![]()
What happens if I have a multi-device license? Is the procedure the same β¦ i.e. I uninstall CCleaner Pro from the old device, then I install CCleaner free on the new device, and finally I enter the license key on the new device. That seems logical to me, but I was confused by your caveat βunless you have a multi-device license.β
The procedure is exactly the same.
I was just stating that you should not have CCleaner Professional activated on more devices than your licence covers- or at least not for longer that the time it takes to switch the licence from the old machine to the new one.
ie. If you have a 1-PC licence then you should not be using it on more than one PC, if you have a 3-device licence you should not be using it on more than 3-devices, etc.
Using it on more devices than are coverd by the licence would be a breach of terms.
If you do have CCleaner Professional activated (long term) on more devices that your licence allows then that will be noticed, and that licence will then be invalidated for breaching the terms of the licence.
Thanks. I just wondered whether there was a special procedure for a multi-device license.
