Hi I Am New And I Got A Question

Hi all, I signed up to ask a question but I did not know where to ask it so I chose the Lounge to ask my question.

I have an account at Deviantart dot com and I cannot figure out, how does Deviantart remember my Username and Password even after I delete cookies. Even after I run CCleaner it still remembers me.

Its bothered me so much that i can't sleep at night. like some guy standing outside your window and staring at you while you are sleeping <_<

Thank you for reading, and have a nice day.

If you are using IE: Internet properties \ Content \ AutoComplete \ settings: uncheck ☐User names and passwords on forms.

Also press Delete AutoComplete history.

ha kroozer ninja'd me again.

Also if you are using Firefox or other browsers that have a password store it may be that it remembered your password for you.

I signed up for Diviant just to check that it wasn't storing anyother way. and it indeed stores in the cookies. so, also if you use a browser other than internet explorer, make sure the browser is completly shut down before using ccleaner.

Open Task Manager (right click on the taskbar and choose task manager)

go to the second tab "processes" and alphabetize it

make sure that there is no process running such as (if you have firefox) firefox.exe (opera.exe, chrome.exe etc)

Make sure any web browser you have open is closed. Then, checkmark Autocomplete Form History in CCleaner if you used Internet Explorer, & if you used Firefox, checkmark Saved Form information.

It may be possible to restore back to prior "remembered" states unless you also disable restore points.

If you do this, please also re-enable them after erasing them all so Windows will create new ones to protect you if something goes wrong.

Sometimes, Internet Explorer can still remember your history, even after running CCleaner.

For some reason, under IE 8 if you go to search history, it will bring your old "deleted" history items back from the grave.

If you run the Internet Explorer cleanup utility the first time, then the next time you run CCleaner it will work like it should.

I believe this may have applied across multiple Windows versions, & it is possible it even affects IE 7. I don't if it affects IE9 yet.

This is a weird bug, & who knows if they finally fixed it. I will check it soon, but I have to have a fresh install to do it on, since it doesn't do this after the "first time you run IE cleanup utility".
