Health Check Security grey / "unable to reach server"

Hello,

I new with CCleaner but when I do the Health Check than the Button Security is not available.

Is that correct or is there something wrong with my settings?

Tnx hope that someone can help me with this?

Rien,

There have been a couple of reports of this in the past day or two.

It looks as if there may be a problem with that particular server; server outages do happen now and again for various reasons.

It isn't affecting everybody, and you may find that if you try again at a different time it will connect.

It just means that Health Check cannot currently check if some of the other apps installed on your computer have an update available.

It's been reported upwards and hopefully it will be fixed soon if it is a server problem.

It's nothing to worry about and will not otherwise interfere with the working of CCleaner which will still clear up the junk.

Using Windows 10 Pro / CCleaner Pro version 5.75.8238 (64-bit)

When using Health Check Security Box displays "Unable to reach server" thought this issue was fixed. It is still occurring. Security is highly important so please help to urgently fix this issue. would be much appreciated.

Please see here:

Hi,

When starting CC Pro, under the Helath Check, the security tab is not enabled but, I do see a text: Unable to reach the server.

Do I need to do some in config? I'm experiencing the Blue Screen nightmare at times.

TIA

Known issue impacting a percentage of users at the moment, currently under investigation (although delayed somewhat by staff availability over the holiday weekend sandwich). Please see here if you would like to assist the process.

When launching my CCleaner Pro version, the Security section says: Unable to reach Server. No error, it is greyed out as if it is no longer part of the package. Can anyone explain why?

It is a known about glitch and is being investigated.

It does not stop the rest of the Health Check from working.

The error is though to be caused by incorrect information coming from one of the applications that CCleaner has found has an update available.

If you could click on Tools>Software Updater, wait a second or two, and tell us what (if anything) it finds in "Programs to update" that may help the developers to track down just which application is causing it.

Screenshots of both the "Programs to update" and "Up-to-date Programs" screens of Software Updater might be handy.

It says applications are up to date

Here is current version I am using

Thank's, unfortunately no clue there then.

Would you mind screenshotting the Up-to-date Programs screen from software updater?

If the dev's can find a common link in which apps those who are being affected by this have installed that may point to the offending app.

You may also want to check the listed apps manually to see if there is an update available for them which CCleaner isn't picking up.

(Maybe because CCleaner can't reach their server).

For instance Health Check is working fine for me, so either the apps I have don't include the problem one, or they are already up to date:

As said above this glitch is not affecting anything other than the Health Check 'Security' tab (which is in fact the Software Updater tool) so it's fine to use otherwise and just ignore it until the cause can be found and fixed.

Nothing populates under either tab

VLC and Adobe Digital Editions (only two programs) in updated, empty in the other.

(I know that some of my Topaz need updating. Not listed here, but shows under Uninstall)

Installed free CCleaner today, and updated to Pro a little later.

Thanks @MartyRossand @VejbymatsI'll pass those on to the staff.

@Vejbymats: To confirm, you were receiving the same "unable to reach server" error?

No, no error, just to few programs in the list for update/no update. Sorry for the confusion!

This seems to have been related to some garbled vendor information for three specific software packages - which were fixed today.

@MartyRoss, @ebolisa, @Ray Tibbles, @CWFreack: As previously impacted customers, can you confirm if you are still seeing this error please (you may need to restart CCleaner) so we can confirm if this was indeed the cause or if there is still something else going on?

Hello today is Mar 11, and I have the same issue. Unable to reach server for over a month; so I think it is still an ongoing issue.

The error is though to be caused by incorrect information coming from the server of one of the applications that CCleaner has found has an update available for.

Whilst some have been sorted out in the past, it's always possible that yours is on ethat wasn't caught, or than an application is now giving new incorrect information.

Instead of using Health Check click on Tools>Software Updater, wait a second or two, and tell us if that says 'It seems like you're offline'.

If it doesn't say that then tell us what (if anything) it finds in "Programs to update" and in "Up-to-date Programs"

Screenshots of what it finds for both the "Programs to update" and "Up-to-date Programs" screens of Software Updater would be useful if you can post them.

Hello nukecad; I went to tools/software updater; it says 'seems like you are offline". So I guess I will wait until CCLeaner fixes the bugs
