Google talk issue(maybe CCleaner related)

At least 5 people I know have been having issues with links not opening when you click on them in a instant message though google talk. The fix seems to be having your browser recheck if it is the default browser and resetting it as the default.

Anyway the only common factor on these machines is CCleaner, is it possible that during a registry clean somewhere a default browser setting is getting messed up?

Could be you are using Firefox? Latest update disables some features of Talk according to their forum

yes firefox was the default browser on all these machines. This issue with clicking links not working in the google talk client has been around for along time(at least a year). on my personal machine I just needed firefox to check if it was the default browser to fix, but on a few of the other machines we needed to set Internet explorer as the default then set firefox as the default again.

obviously something is messing with the default browser settings..... maybe it's not CCleaner but like I said thats the only common factor with all these machines(besides firefox being the browser of choice).
