GOOGLE custom search settings cookie deleted by ccleaner

I'm using ccleaner v 3.04.1389.

I often choose to keep cookies for ceratin sites.

I have GOOGLE search preferences set that require a cookie to remember my settings.

But, GOOGLE has recently changed how their cookies are identified, so setting ccleaner to keep google cookies allows the unnamed cookie to delete and hence Google doesnt keep my search settings. The cookies keep get deleted by ccleaner.

I think the cookies may be radomly set. Eraing this data resets my search settings to default and it is very annoying to have to start all over and reeneter my custom search settings. SOMEONE should be telling GOOGLE...or I may have to stop using my favorite crap cleaner.

Any help here?

No way can that anticipate what Google does 9 months later.

If you want CCleaner to keep up with Google you need to update CCleaner.

Amen.

CCleaner isn't a mind reader.

I found a solution in these Forums here...I UNCHECKED in CCLEANER, Applications, Multimedia, Adobe Flash Player. Now my GOOGLE settings stay unchanged. Except maybe not...sheez...

Glad you got it fixed! Could it be that Flash cookies are what Google uses?

Please update your ccleaner to the latest version and see if thing are different

Well the fix I tried above isn’t working (UNCHECK Adobe Flash Player). Google custom search settings keep getting deleted by ccleaner.

I have the latest version v.304.1389 and Adobe Flash Player unchecked. And I saved all cookies that have Google in it.

Still ccleaner deleted my custom Google saved searches. I have Google preferences set for 100 search results per page - and it reverts to 10 results after a ccleaner cleaning.

I think Google sets 3 or 4 cookies with just random text as their file names...not sure but that's why I think it's so difficult to save those cookies. Anyone know?

HELP?

That's not the latest version, the latest is v3.14.1616 and you can download it here http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/builds.

Which browser do you use? You could try to untick "Site Preferences".

With my XP SP3, using Opera and occasionally Firefox, my google search settings are contained in the "google.com" cookie.

Deleted it and recreated it numerous times last night to test in case google had moved the goalposts, but it's definitely the relevant cookie in my case.
