Hi all,
I've been using CCleaner for years and it's a fantastic tool.
I've been using Chrome on my Work machine and had noticed that my settings etc were lost every time i restarted the machine. This is because by default, Chrome uses the %localappdata% (which isn't collected by the server).
I've managed to point Chrome to a new location in the %appdata% (roaming) folder, but now CCleaner wont clear my Chrome history. I would assume that this is because it's not finding anything in the default user data location.
Is there any way that I can point CCleaner to the location of the new userdata folder, for it to clean correctly?
This works for chrome-based and Firefox-based programs
http://www.piriform.com/docs/ccleaner/advanced-usage/ccleaner-ini-files/how-to-clean-user-data-from-non-standard-mozilla-browsers
on top of that these are the current detected locations for chrome-based software
DetectFile=%localappdata%\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe
DetectFile2=%ProgramFiles%\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe
DetectFile3=%localappdata%\Flock\Application\flock.exe
DetectFile4=%ProgramFiles%\Flock\Application\flock.exe
DetectFile5=%localappdata%\Google\Chrome SxS\Application\chrome.exe
DetectFile6=%ProgramFiles%\Google\Chrome SxS\Application\chrome.exe
DetectFile7=%localappdata%\SRWare Iron\iron.exe
DetectFile8=%ProgramFiles%\SRWare Iron\iron.exe
DetectFile9=%ProgramFiles%\Chromium\chrome.exe
DetectFile10=%localappdata%\Chromium\chrome.exe
DetectFile11=%ProgramFiles%\Chromium\Application\chrome.exe
DetectFile12=%localappdata%\Chromium\Application\chrome.exe
DetectFile13=%AppData%\ChromePlus\chrome.exe
DetectFile14=%localappdata%\RockMelt\Application\rockmelt.exe
DetectFile15=%ProgramFiles%\RockMelt\Application\rockmelt.exe
DetectFile16=%LocalAppData%\Comodo\Dragon\dragon.exe
DetectFile17=%ProgramFiles%\Comodo\Dragon\dragon.exe
Thanks mate, although I found that the syntax appears to be "CustomLocation1=CHROME|C:\Users\XXX\AppData\Roaming\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default"
