I installed CCleaner Professional several months ago on my Windows 11 desktop. I execute all of the various CCleaner cleaning/optimizing/updating options monthly as a part of my machine’s on-going maintenance. Every month that I do this, Google Chrome quits working. It won’t launch. The only way to resolve it seems to be to uninstall and then re-download Chrome. This month, after completing my maintenance, in addition to the Chrome issue, CCleaner’s Kamo quit launching at start-up when I power up my desktop, and I can’t get it to launch by double-clicking on the Kamo icon.
Hi @2fischfin,
For the issue with Google Chrome, please check whether Chrome has been put to sleep in CCleaner’s Performance Optimizer.
- Open CCleaner.
- Go to Performance Optimizer.
- Look for Google Chrome in the list. If it’s set to Sleep, click Wake.
Once Chrome is awake again, it should launch and work normally.
For the issue with Kamo, please try reinstalling it to repair the installation:
-
Uninstall Kamo from Apps & features (or Programs and Features) in Windows.
-
Download the latest version of Kamo from https://www.ccleaner.com/go/get_kamo
-
Reinstall Kamo, then restart your PC and try launching it again.
If you have any issues please message me back.
