Since updating to v2.13.670 (64-bit), I'm experiencing a 100% repeatable freeze.
1. Analyze drive C:
2. Click another drive - e.g. D:
3. Click drive C: again
The drive map for C: appears again, but the drive letter does not get highlighted (e.g. D: is still highlighted). Defraggler then freezes solid and I am forced to end the process. CPU and Memory usage remain idle, according to the Task Manager, which reports a working set of 256,128 K after analyzing my drive.
The curious thing is it only happens when the C: drive has been analyzed. If I do not touch it, I can analyze/defrag any other drive without issue. Conversely, if I do not click away from the C: drive, I can perform any operations on it as normal.
Even stranger: If I click Analyze again, then click Stop before it completes, the freezing bug will not be triggered. It is only when I have a completed analysis of C: (colored drive map), click another drive, then come back to C:, that it crashes
My C: drive is an SSD, a 1st generation OCZ RevoDrive X2 240gb. It has a single partition with my OS, apps and games, totaling 413,143 files and 77,968 folders. The other drives have less than 20,000 files each.
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (fully updated)
RAM: 48gb
CPU: 2x Xeon X5660
If you're wondering why I would defrag my SSD, well I don't, but Defraggler's analysis is still useful, especially its "File List" tab, for quickly finding large or extremely fragmented files.
