I know, old stuff, but the slowdown doesn't affect other sites or forums.
The little spinner wheel grinds for 3-5 minutes on each link.
Or, sometimes, not.
Just an FYI.
Happens quite often to me too login, and for quite a while. (months if not longer).
Admins are aware of this but don't seem to be able to find a reason for it.

Try this old trick I use (not guaranteed to always work though):
1. Open a new tab or new window in your browser, and pull up the forum in it, you should already be logged in when doing so.
2. Close the original window/tab.
Sometimes doing that will allow it to function faster.

You could try closing the browser and running a nifty little program called CCleaner to clear out all the cookies and stuff that have accumulated during your browsing session, that usually speeds things up again. LOL.
I know you're joking, however it's the forum/site that gets very slow sometimes, and sometimes it's unusable.
