'Forget'/'Skip'/'Pause' options in Software Updater

For some time now, Software Updater has been picking up Skype, a product I was only too happy to uninstall and remove all file and registry settings for many years ago. What mechanism(s) does this Updater use for product detection (I can then remove the offending entry).
Alternatively, provide us with a FORGET this product option (say 1 month, 1 yeat, indefinitely) the value of which must persist across version updates.

Thank you

I agree that an ‘Ignore’ or ‘Forget’ option is needed in the Software Updater.
In fact I’ve moved this into the ‘Sugestions’ sub-forum and bumped it for the CCleaner staff. (Hope you don’t mind that I’ve also renamed it).

There are similar options in the Driver Updater, called ‘Pause Updates’ and ‘Skip this version’ respectively.

I can only assume that similar options have not been added to the Software Updater (yet) because of the way that it also integrates with Health Check, thus making the programming a bit more difficult?

PS. My solution to the Skype nag was to simply reinstall Skype, then ignore it like all the other junk apps that Windows installs and just let CCleaner update it if it wants to,
