Firefox update available

Quote:

Mozilla has updated its flagship FireFox browser to version 1.5.0.4 and, in the process, fixed no less than 12 flaws.

Five of the vulnerabilities are classified by Mozilla as "critical" and two are rated as "high."

Among the "critical" vulnerabilities is "Mozilla Foundation Security Advisory 2006-32," which fixes a potential memory corruption vulnerability.

Fixes to FF

I updated late lastnight although I noticed Filehippo.com had the full download at some point in the afternoon when I checked. It took Mozilla sometime before the auto-update found that a new version was available.

Thunderbird version 1.5.0.4 is also available. Not sure if there is even a need to post this, as both products update automatically when started.

Automatic update is pleasant. :)

Must be a control freak here as not a thing auto updates in my setup.

If I see unexpected inet activity I want to know what's going on.

Etrust vet and Superantispyware are the only two proggys I manually check for updates once or twice daily.

I even have Zone Alarm Pro blocking itself from connecting to the net.

Oh well,we're all different and have our own foibles eh. :)

Both FF and TB do not autoupdate without asking first; so you are still in control. :)
