i recently performed a basic cleanup - i use the basic free version. since the cleanup, there seems to be a problem with firefox. i cannot attach a file to any outgoing mail as it freezes so i must then close firefox in task manager. i would appreciate any help in very basic computer-for-dummies language. thanks. donna
Fine, we understand the 'for-dummies-language' request.
So the first thing to say is that Firefox is a web browser and does not send mail.
It sounds that you are using a mail provider that you accesss within the Firefox browser. Do you know what that website is?
For instance - I use IONOS basic mail which I open in Firefox by going to their webpage and logging into my IONOS account.
my apologies...i use firefox browser and for email yahoo and protonmail.....it was the same issue. computer froze. i also tried using MS Edge with same result....computer froze and had to close the browser thru task manager. thx
The first thing I would do is a "Restart" of your computer. (Not a Shutdown but a Restart).
And then try the email again.
Just for information - I assume that in CCleaner you used Health Check and nothing else?
Does this only happen with one particular file, or with any/every file that you try to attach to an email?
