Firefox Internet Cache not cleared

Good morning,

I noticed it a week ago, ccleaner tells me "Firefox Internet Cache skipped", when I run it normally.... What is going on?

Thank you. JG

...Is firefox running?

Check for rogue persistance of firefox.exe and plugin-container.exe

Sorry, but I do not understand how to do that....

Close Fiefox before running ccleaner and then check in the task manager if those two are off?

Yes - look under processes TAB

Yes - look under processes TAB

…of task manager, helpful in this case to alphabetize the entries

So basically my mistake is NOT to close Firfox before starting ccleaner?

I'm confused by the language structure you've used here. But yes, Firefox must be closed for Firefox to be cleaned, & this includes all processes (some themes & add-ons cause Firefox to not close completely.)

I am sorry. But anyway you have understood it correctly.

Basically: I cannot clear the cache as long as Firefox is open. But Ff will remember the tabs that were open, before I closed it for cleaning?

for Firefox to remember I believe ccleaner has a sessions item under Firefox, uncheck that.

be sure you have already set your cookies to keep, in options, & that adobe flash are also checked so that all cookies you don't want are removed.

Yes, those settings have been there for a long time, thanks.
