I recently came across a website that's very interesting and thought you guys/gals may wish to check it out. The site "Have I Been Pwned?" will search any email address, or any user name, that you enter and inform you whether or not your information shows up anywhere online as a result of a hack. If any found it will provide detailed info on the hack. Also, you can request for them to inform you (via the email address you enter) any time in the future that your information (as associated with the email address) has been hacked.
I only found one negative hit from my various email a/c's and that was Yahoo, and it was a site I forgot I was registered with, and haven't used for year. Many years ... last.fm.

Although 5 years after the event, I took the opportunity to close that account.
Good thinking Dennis. Best to close it. I had 3 finds. Oddly enough not one from my yahoo account even though I have had 2 notices in the past to change my password due to a possible data breach when yahoo was hacked.

Dropbox: In mid-2012, Dropbox suffered a data breach which exposed the stored credentials of tens of millions of their customers. In August 2016, they forced password resets for customers they believed may be at risk. A large volume of data totalling over 68 million records was subsequently traded online and included email addresses and salted hashes of passwords (half of them SHA1, half of them bcrypt).
I had thought of that before going there but I figured that the regular columnist of computerworld.com could likely be trusted. Also I checked on WOT and it's not flagged. Also I would think that it would likely have been on the MVPS Host list. Anyway, I'm 99.99% sure it's ok
Mine is apparently from the MongoDB database breach from GeekedIn that compromised over 8 million accounts on GitHub. At the time, I was actually using FastMail and not ProtonMail, so it is weird why it flags on my ProtonMail.
