I am running v5.08.5308 (64-bit) on a desktop computer and Surface, both have Windows 8.1 OS. Both installations of CCleaner are not cleaning out all files from the Recycle Bin - System Files. The size of the files not being cleaned has steadly grown over time. The desktop computer currently shows 536 mb of files to delete and the Surface shows 237 mb of files. The size of the files holds steady for several weeks and then will increase as if a new segment is no longer being cleaned, the increases are usually fairly small. How can I correct this problem? Thx G-Man2
in the off chance that you have a corrupted Recycle Bin on BOTH units (bloody unlucky) try this;

I am seeing similar behavior sort of.
I am running 5.08.5308 on a 64 bit windows 7 home premium.
I have 4 files in the recycle bin.
I am running as a non-admin user, but running ccleaner as admin. The files are not removed from the recycle bin.
HOWEVER, when I log in as an admin user and delete some files from the admin user, those files are wiped from the recycle bin.
This action is repeatable - at least for me.
