Error Code 2 during search of installed software updater

Happens consistently at 66% but gives absolutely no clues whatsoever.  Sometimes (like shown) it manages to find something <em>after</em> failing and shows a new entry behind the error dialog, but sometimes it doesn't.





So, aside from using the slim installer to do a repair (done that), or just ditching my most beloved crap-cleaner, any suggestions?

Update it manually rather than using CCleaner.

I can't see it properly there but it appears to be the K-Lite codec pack which had an update released yesterday, 04 June.
