I would like to point out a possible error I found.
I am using Windows 7 Home Premium and have Microsoft Security Essentials installed and enabled.
Security Essentials work as an antivirus.
Windows Defender, as far as I know, doesn't even exist anymore (at least it's not supported).
But what I got from Speccy is:
Operating System
MS Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit
Installation Date: 09 November 2010, 19:40
Serial Number: XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX
Windows Security Center
Firewall Enabled
Antivirus Disabled
Windows Defender
Windows Defender Disabled
I too can confirm as a Windows 7 user (32bit), that Speccy (using v1.07.205) does NOT report antivirus status properly.
I have both Avast 5 (free home edition) and Ad-Aware Pro 9 and Speccy still reports antivirus as being disabled. Where-as Windows Security Center sees them just fine and reports antivirus as enabled.
I am also having similar problems speccy shows my antivirus as ad-aware but I no longer use it now, im running winxp pro sp3 with norton as my antivirus.

Please check you have no left over folders from the ad-aware uninstall.
