Eight hours to go in Stage 2

I started Recuva for the first time ever, and, without thinking about it too much, selected Deep Scan. (I guess that was a mistake.) It took 4 or 5 hours to get through Stage 1, and it said it found over 12 million files. It's now 23% through Stage 2 and the estimated time left is 8 hours. Also, it says it working on one of three drives and I have only one hard drive with two logical drives that I know of.

Is this the behavior I should be expecting?

Twelve million files is rather a lot to process. I usually cancel Stage 2, it doesn't seem to make much difference (or any I can notice).

Recuva works at logical drive level, one partition at a time.
