Were sales for these AVs "a bit slow" ???

8 out of those 10 I wouldn't even touch and think they're asking too much for - but that's just me.

whow, all the big players listed, +1 with @Willy2, are they having a bad year out there in AV land.

guess more and more are seeking out AVG, Avast and MSE as free alternatives.

i was surprised to see Norton's there, i mean, i know they are nowhere near king-of-the-heap like they once were but jeez.... they might as well give it away (and still have no-one want it :P)

Don't forget Panda Cloud Antivirus Free in those free alternatives, it's good and not bloated.

Some people still swear by Norton AV, I sweared at it back when I used and now swear to never use it again.

Likewise. Then I had to convince my father, and friends.

No different than Heinz or Kraft. People just assume it's the best.

The only one I'd go near on that list is AVG and I don't even run an AV :/

I think AVG Free is fine enough for most people's needs anyway.

I might consider Kaspersky, Avira or maybe ESET.

At the moment Avira free seems the best alternative.
