Cant comment on CC7, wont install!!
Iâve done that & they said theyâd put it through as priority to the tech team. That was over a week ago and Iâve still not heard back. ![]()
Hi @christinep
Letâs give @Laurence_CCleaner a shout here.
He should be able to advise whatâs going on and maybe speed it up, note that he may not be back in the office until Monday though.
Thank you, most appreciated. ![]()
I am a long-time user of CCleaner Professional and have used Driver Updater daily since it first came out with no problems at all. The scan usually takes 10-15 seconds to get up to 100%. Since the latest update to CCleaner several days ago, the scan only takes 1 second. It just flips from 0% to 100% and finds nothing to update. That update screwed something up.
Same here for us, Way to many obselete driver updates showing. We would never use this feature until this is fixed.
Me too! Now every single driver update BREAKS SOMETHING! Last week it was the Bluetooth Stack. The week before it was the Wi-Fi the updated driver BROKE!
Major issues with CCleaner 7:
-
It runs as a service in Windows and is consuming circa 110 MB on my machines. I do NOT need or want this since I have set everything in CCleaner to run manually (updates, everything).
-
The Driver Updater is a complete mess and breaks some usersâ config. You need to ensure it works properly or just get rid of it.
-
Random pop ups appear that are rally annoying. They say that I have the latest version of CCleaner when I KNOW that I do since I already upgraded days or weeks previously.
There is a MESS of other stuff, BUGS, that have to be weeded out of the program. Get your developers to work on fixing those.
CCleanerâs Driver Updater feature is flawed. As reported by many other users, my drivers are current (downloaded directly via the OEMâs website), yet CCleaner is reporting them as outdated. Until the issue is fixed, I will not buy (nor recommend) the Pro version of CCleaner.
