When I run the driver updater, it says there is 1 driver to update, general category USB (1), named Realtek USB 2.0 Card Reader, indicating new version will be 10.0.26200.312, released 9/1/25. So I tell it to update, but it always shows this error message:
-=-=-=-=
Something went wrong
Whoops, there was a problem and we could not complete the action.
Error code: 0
-=-=-=-=-=
I have tried to find it in Device Manager in order to do a manual update, but it is not in the list under Universal Serial Bus controllers. I have also gone to the Realtek official website and searched for it but there is no mention of it.

Do you have an SD-card reader on your pc
Yes.
It shows lots and lots of stuff but confusing. I have Windows 10 Family version but that list shows Windows 10 Vibranium, whatever that is.
Windows 10 ‘Vibranium’ refers to the internal codename for the Windows 10 May 2020 Update (Version 2004) and ones which followed it. Which build of Windows do you have? To see which it is press the Windows start in bottom left of your taskbar and immediately type the word winver. No need to enter anything in a box, just type after you press the start icon
I have Version 22H2 (OS Build 19045.6466).
On my Windows 10 machine I am on OS build 19045.6691. Is your machine fully up to date?
I got all the updates till they stopped giving them for Win 10.
Have you enrolled in the Extended Support for Windows 10?
If you go to Windows Updates it should give you the option there.
(I did it lasr week on a Win10 laptop that I’ve just fixed after it stopped working last February).
It’s FREE to do in Europe, but they don’t seem to be charging anyone anywhere in the world.
