Just used the new Drive Wiper function to do a 7-pass NSA wipe of a drive, and of course it estimated a number of hours for the process (and for the first hour or so it was running the process just fine, as I was in the same room during that first hour and occasionally glancing over to it). I left it running through the day and just came back to check on it at the end of the day and it was sitting there at the Drive Wiper screen with no progress dialog or anything. So, did it successfully finish and not display any kind of final confirmation that it had?
The usual green progress bar, which disappears on hitting 100%, and the page resets.
Hope that helps.
I was referring to the entire drive wipe, not the free space one. But if the one you tried just reset back like what I saw, I'm assuming that's normal behavior. I would suggest that a confirmation box came up when something like an 8 hour, 7-pass full drive wipe was being done, that way the user is sure it was successful. The process itself is one of paranoia, so not being sure if it succeeded doesn't help said paranoia.

Thanks.
One more suggestion. Just for curiosity, I thought I'd start the process again and see what happened if I manually stopped it. ESC didn't do anything, but I clicked the cancel button and it just stopped immediately. On a full drive wipe process that could take quite a few hours, a confirmation dialog box asking if you're sure you wanna stop might be a good idea. Just a thought.
Give me about 12 min and I can tell you if a full erase in drive wiper gives any sort of confirmation (please note that the CCLeaner Development staff is doing a write-up for the help section of the site)
