Did you get a licence key by email?
If so then just use that to register Recuva as Pro, you can download Recuva Free from here:
Open Recuva Free and ‘Cancel’ the Wizard ro get the advanced screen.
Click Options>About>Upgrade to Pro and enter yor registered Name and Key.
I have to be honest here - when it comes to recovering files there is no difference whatsoever between Free and Pro, both do exactly the same recovery.
(I’m not even sure that it still changes the name onscreen anymore, it may just stay as “Recuva” rather than changing to “Recuva Professional” like it used to do).
What you are paying for is:-
- Support for Virtual Hard drives. (When did you last use one of those?)
- Automatic Updates. (There hasn’t been any update to Recuva’s recovery capabilities for several years. There was a small update to the licencing system).
- Priority Support. (It’s usually quicker to ask here).
Personally I saved my money and just use Recuva Free if I need it, however some still do want to pay for those extras.
