We come across it all the time, going to a website we visit everyday only to find it won't load. Is it just me you wonder?
I use this site all the time to check if it's down for every one or just me. For this forum I would just put forum.piriform.com in the box. No need to bother with the www bit.
Although I have seen this site before, I have never bookmarked it, this time I will, plus I can make better use of it in other ways too.

I probably shouldn't question the decision of a mod (but then when does that normally stop me lol), but does this thread belong in the software section? I would of thought the lounge would of been more like it.
If a site goes down I use the traceroute tool for linux or tracert.exe in Windows.

And Richard this site is meant for users to be able to bookmark for quick use, and for those who may not be aware of how to use tracert.
I've bookmarked it, and ironically enough immediately after using it I had no access to YouTube, then no access to anything whatosever so I just rebooted my DSL modem, then rebooted Windows to fix the problem.

I use the Firefox extension TryAgain which automatically reloads a dead page (at whatever time period you choose) and also offers direct link to the dead page on DownForEveryone, very useful.
