Hi all.
CCleaner does not clean Edge Chromium history, as seen from the attached images.
Although it says it has cleared the history data (CC.jpg file), actually the history is still there (Edge.jpg file, with the details blacked out).
In the Edge settings, I disabled fast startup and running in the background.
Any suggestions?
Is your Edge synced?
Syncing will put back from the cloud whatever browser data CCleaner removes from your machine - that's what sync does.

I disabled history sync and now everything seems to work - CCleaner clears history.

Bear in mind that it's not just the browsing history. It's cookies, Cache, Session, Temporary files, etc. as well.
Whatever browser data CCleaner removes - if you have sync for that data turned on it then it will just be synced back from the cloud again.
CCleaner can clear things from your machine but it can't clear the cloud.
