Quite some time ago I had a diesel Ford Orion which turned heads when I was standing at traffic lights, but only because it sounded like a bag of hammers, and gave out pretty blue smoke from the exhaust when you tried to put your foot down.
Modern diesels are a world away from that Orion in just about every way. In fact, the GT cars which are regularly winning races like the Le Mans 24 hours, are diesel. Diesel hybrids to be accurate ...
Why don't we see diesel motor bikes in any number I wonder? Unless we do and they sound similar to petrol so I've never noticed them.
