Ccleaner is now able to clean up AVG 8.0 files but are you 100% sure it's safe to delete these files. I use AVG8.5 free and the files that could be cleaned by Ccleaner totals about 58MB so its big, there are log files which could be safe to delete but there are also .exe,.dll, etc... files. Are you sure these could be deleted safely?
Hi New, and welcome to Piriform.
I don't use AVG, so can't give you an answer to your question, but I would suggest holding back on deleting the entries you mention until one of the members using AVG can confirm their suitability for removal.
From reading the AVG entry in CCleaners ini file, I can't see any .exe files or .dll's in the cleaning routine unless they are backup files being removed.
Also, as you've observed yourself, the entry in the CCleaner embedded ini refers to AVG 8.0 not 8.5.
Hang fire until hopefully an AVG user contributes to the topic. Better be safe than sorry.
