Deleted programs, fixed registry problems, now have error 2502 and 2503

When I want to update programs I get the following error message 2502 and or 2503.

This happened after uninstalling/deleting a defrag program, it (the program) did not want to go.

I used "unlocker" too to get rid of some remnant files in the folder where it was installed.

Question: Can I go back in my backed up files (cc-2014100_160357.reg) for the changes in the registry created by CC ?

Do I right click on the saved registry changes file?

What happens?

Do not want to create more problems.

Running a pc on windows 7. Any advice is welcome.

cheers

Robert

Open regedit (type regedit in the start menu search box) go to file import and choose the file.

If you removed a number of entries some may not be replaced, and you may want to pre edit it to only replace the entries you want (open the file in notepad or other text editor, highlight and delete any entries you don't want back and re-save the file as a reg file (usually regular save instead of "as save" should keep the file in its original format))

As well it's important to know that, while re-import of reg file fixes most issues, there may be a small, but significant, chance that it may not fix every issue.
