Currently, I use Defraggler, & while it DOES help, I don't have any way whatsoever to see what zone it is placing the files into.
Would really love a way to see the areas Defraggler is putting the files, so I can get a good visual idea of how much it helps, compared to normal file fragmentation.
Defraggler could automatically quickly scan a disk & divide it into 3 parts that it labels as the following:
______________
Drive Speed Map:
- Fast -> Green - Rabbit
- Medium -> Yellow - Turtle
- Slow -> Red - Snail
______________
By using the creature analogy, as well as zone mapping the drive, users could visually see Defraggler dumping files from the snail parts of the drive into the rabbit part of the drive.
______________
I like Defraggler, but it would make it a lot more exciting to watch, if it showed files moving from Snail (Red) to the Rabbit (Green) areas.
Well, & I would instantly be able to see how much better Defraggler is than all the rest,
