Defraggler issue with 4Kn drives

I use several HDDs for large storage & backup. With 2 of my drives, I used to use them in the original 512 emulation mode (512e), and I later decided to convert them to 4K native mode (4Kn) for optimal performance and efficiency.

Ever since their conversion, I have noticed that Defraggler often crashes on them, even when I just try to Analyze (let alone Defrag).

It seems that Defraggler (I’m using v2.22.995 (64-bit)) does not properly recognize or support Advanced Format 4K native (4Kn) hard drives.

Would Piriform / Avast / Gen Digital be open to adding 4Kn support in an updated version?

4Kn is definitely the future of storage, as 512e becomes less and less necessary - all currently supported major OSes support 4Kn now, and the technical benefits are obvious.

As it’s been several years since Defraggler last got a function update then I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting for one to happen anytime soon.

I use something like 64k cluster sizes for my Gaming NVMe SSDs as anything larger does not with Defraggler.
