Hi,
I installed the most recent version of Defraggler yesterday.
I am using Windows 7, 64 bit, 16 GByte of RAM, AMD Phenon II X6 1055 T CPU.
Seagate disk (SATA-II), 500 GByte, NTFS, partitioned as C (system), D (Temp) and E (Home)
When defraging, I experienced the following.
a. Defrag starts with analysis - seems OK
b. Degragging starts, but leaves large areas of fragmented files. Seems, it creates even new ones.
c. after some time, blocks of the display start to change colour randomly - building checkboard shapes and others - every second new shapes.
d. Trying to cancel led to a crash in one of four tests - Windows harddisk check reported errors. Cannot verify whether or not errors existed before.
e. tried it four times, three times on c-partition (system), once on e-partition (home), where crash occurred. Everytime the same behaviour: doubtful defrag results (no improvement of analysis result in the three tests on C), jumping blocks after some time. Did not try it again after crash.
Used Defraggler with Windows XP 32 bit on old computer - never had any problems. But yesterdays behaviour looks like a severe incompatibility or bug somewhere ??? (Or can it be that I am doing something wrong here ??)
