Must say for the outset, Defraggler is a great app, and I use regularly on all my PC's. Great work Piriform.
My question re defragging large backup files comes from the following analysis of a dedicated 500GB backup drive:
6 fragmented files (7.8GB) - 44 total fragments - 24% fragmentation
90% of the 7.8GB fragmented files are: 2 Paragon backup files. Is it safe to defrag these files?
I defragged my E: partition a few times when my Image was located there, and each time I did, I made sure to run a "Verify" on the Image afterwards.
Always came up OK, but if it didn't, it would have been easy enough to knock a new one out. My Image is now on a separate internal drive, which I'm using only for backups.

Thank you DennisD for your prompt reply, I shall proceed with the defrag & "verify".
