CCleaner Version 7.5.1255.0 on Windows 11 Pro 25H2 - Probably with the first version 7, CCleaner reorganized the categories under Custom Clean. I recently noticed that the category Windows Downloads is checked (all previous downloads erased). I do not wish to erase my downloads. Unchecking this category is not saved. On closing and re-opening CCleaner, the category is still checked. Likewise, if I uncheck just one or a few individual entries under Downloads (e.g. Apps/Programs and Documents), these settings are not saved. Since CCleaner points out that checking Downloads categories erases all Downloads in that category and is unwise, it is bad to make checking this category the default. It is even worse to make it impossible to change without going through and resetting preferences every time the program is run. This is a serious problem and must be fixed. Until CCleaner notifies me that they have fixed it, I am uninstalling CCleaner as dangerous from all machines that I supervise.
Hi @rzucker1,
I have tested this and CCleaner V7.5.1255 does not have Windows Downloads enabled as default when installed.
