I am having an issue when using custom clean as it is clearing site data even though Firefox shows not to. I have uninstalled and re installed CCleaner several times. This is a new issue as I haven’t had this issue until now. Any ideas how to fix would be appreciated
Hi @Mememe46,
Could you please clarify what you mean by “site data” in Firefox so I can investigate this further? If possible, providing screenshots would be very helpful in understanding the exact nature of the issue you’re experiencing.
Hi Laurence,
What I mean by site data is as an example google where I have a few accounts I would be able to select from a list and check emails and sign out and check the next on the list. Now, however, the list is no longer available and I need to add an account and move on. As soon as I reboot the list is gone and I go through this again. There are a few sites that I frequent that this occurs on. I hadn’t had an issue until I renewed my license and did a fresh install on the weekend..I
don’t think it has anything to do with Firefox though as I switched Firefox off before doing a custom clean and the same thing occurred. The site data ( user and password information ) is missing.
That sounds as if you may be clearing the Firefox “Session” in Custom Clean settings.
Clearing the Session will close any open tabs, and will log you out of websites.
@Mememe46,
Please could you give me some example sites you are experiencing this issue on, and also send me a screenshot showing your cookies exceptions in the configure menu for these sites, so I can investigate this further.
