I understand that the "Cleaner" tab cleans browser history and all that, and residue from other apps, etc. But I'm curious about what it's doing with individual files that are listed in Analyze results? There are zip files, html, docx, and others that appear to be actual files. Does the cleaner delete them???
yes
I think the file you are seeing may be shortcuts to the files you are thinking they are. Can you type out the full path it's telling you it found
E.g. C:\users\name\app data\last run files\document
It will show as understood in previous versions of windows the list from "My Recent Documents", it looks like its about to delete the documents but it doesn't it just removes the .LNK (links) in Recent Documents.

A couple examples:
C:\Users\myname\Documents\Business\foldername
C:\Users\myname\Documents\Business\filename.docx
C:\Users\myname\AppData\Roaming\Pocomail\events.ini
There are many different files and folders listed, none of which have a .lnk extension or anything that indicates that they're NOT the actual file/folder. It's a little scary, lol

I'm hoping it's something to that affect.
The last file (events.ini) may be being removed by an entry, check the second tab (applications) for poco mail
The other two, there's no entry in ccleaner that would remove those. Are you using winapp2.ini or any other ccleaner enhancing programs? Do you know which entry in ccleaner is making those appear (what did you double click in summary view to see those files)
